Senator representing Kogi West district, Dino Melaye has alleged that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is “trying to cook up allegations” against him.
He made this known via his Twitter page on Saturday.
This is coming after the Senate rejected the nomination of Ibrahim Magu as the anti-graft agency’s chairman after a 2-hour screening on Wednesday.
The screening of Magu went sour when Melaye introduced a report by the Department of State Security (DSS) which stated that Magu was “unfit for the position”.
