London mosque attacker has been named

The suspect who ploughed into people outside a mosque has been named locally as Darren Osborne, from Weston-Super-Mare in Somerset.

Darren Osborne, 47, a father-of-four, is well known by locals, Telegraph reports.

Following the attack which left one dead and over 8 people injured, the 48-year-old suspect was pinned down and beaten up by angry people at the scene as they held him for at least 15minutes before police arrived and arrested him. It was during this time that Moor took a photo of the suspect.

Speaking on Monday, one woman, who did not wish to be named, said: “We all know Darren, from our youth generally.  “When I heard what happened it absolutely made me feel ill. You don’t imagine this.

“Weston is a small town. He left years ago I believe.”

UK PM, Theresa May has vowed that “hatred and evil” of the kind seen in the terror attack on a north London mosque that left one man dead and ten injured will never succeed, as police promised to provide extra patrols during Ramadan.
