Nigerians react as Who Wants To Be A Millionaire goes off air after 13 years

The Who Wants To Be A Millionaire (WWTBAM) show hosted by Frank Edoho is going on an indefinite break after 13 years.

The show started in 2004 showing every week and was sponsored by MTN Nigeria until an announcement was made on Sunday, June 25, that the Telecom company has pulled out of the show.

The organisers tweeted that the show is only going for a temporary break.

Frank Edoho also expressed his sadness over the break, as the show has “financially impacted” many Nigerians since its inception.

The show had become as much a part of our culture as it was one of the best educational programmes on Nigerian TV.

Frank Edogho’s charming personality was the icing on the cake- he gave the show the soul and steam it fired on for 13 fantastic years.

Now that show has is on a “temporary break”, Nigerians are finding it hard to say goodbye.

Lots of people have been paying tribute to Frank Edogho and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
