Watch Lagos police commissioner speak on Tagbo, DJ Olu and Chime Amaechi's death


On Wednesday, the Lagos Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgar addressed journalists and shared new details surrounding the recent deaths of Tagbo Umeike, Oluwagbemiga Abiodun a.k.a DJ Olu and Chime Amaechi.

Speaking on Tagbo's death, the commissioner revealed that he had a meeting with Tagbo's family, Davido and Caroline Danjuma whom he referred to as Tagbo's fiancee.

He also spoke on DJ Olu and Chime's death saying that substances suspected to be hard drugs were recovered in DJ Olu's car.

He revealed that investigation is still ongoing and the substances discovered in the car have been taken for analysis to determine what exactly they are.

Meanwhile,  Friends and family held a candlelight service in honour of DJ Olu last night.


At the service, the heartbroken father, Dapo Abiodun, recounted the times he spent with his son. He paid glowing tribute to him and applauded him for starting up his own businesses.

'He always wanted to impress me, and he did; I take peace knowing all his plans and projects kicked off in his name and not mine...'. he said

DJ Olu was buried today in Lagos. His funeral mass took place at Emmanuel Chapel in Banana  Island while he was interred at The Vaults in Ikoyi. He was 24 years old.
