Actor Johnny Depp apologises for his bad joke about Killing President Trump

Just like Kathy Griffin, Johnny Depp took his dis-like for President Donald Trump beyond normal on Thursday.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star had joke about the assassination of the United States President while attending an event at Glastonbury Festival in England.

The Secret Service responded to the statement and their were reports he risked being arrested.

The White House also released a statement condemning the actor’s actions.

“President Trump has condemned violence in all forms and it’s sad that others like Johnny Depp have not followed his lead. I hope that some of Mr. Depp’s colleagues will speak out against this type of rhetoric as strongly as they would if his comments were directed to a Democrat elected official.”

The three-time Oscar nominee later apologized in a statement released to People Magazine.

“I apologize for the bad joke I attempted last night in poor taste about President Trump. It did not come out as intended, and I intended no malice. I was only trying to amuse, not to harm anyone,” he said.
