England (with 6 Nigerians) win FIFA Under-20 World Cup final (Photos)


England have won the U20 World Cup after Dominic Calvert-Lewin's goal gave them a tense 1-0 win over Venezuela in Suwon.

The English team comprises of 6 Nigerians. Namely,  Fikayo Tomori,  Josh Onomah, Ovie Ejaria, Sheyi Ojo,  Ademola Lookman and Dominic Solanke, who won the Most Valuable Player of the tournament - the Golden Ball.

Everton forward Calvert-Lewin scored the only goal, following up on a rebound to slot home from close range on 35 minutes.

This is England's first appearance in the final of a global tournament since their World Cup victory 51 years ago.

Dominic Solanke (pictured right) is due to join Liverpool from Chelsea on 1 July.
