Buhari did not need to commend Osinbajo in his speech – Adesina explains why the President is “working from home”

Femi Adesina has said it was not necessary for President Muhammadu Buhari to single out Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in his address to Nigerians.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity said this in an interview on Lagos Talks 91.3 FM on Tuesday.

Adesina said the President had already thanked Osinbajo for a good job while he was abroad.

He said Buhari appreciated the Vice President and security chiefs when he met them on Saturday night.

Adesina also said he did not write the President’s speech.

Adesina also said reports saying the President is “working from home” was only misinterpreted.

In a video published on Twitter by the Presidency, Mr Adesina said the office only “needs some renovation because 103 days of absence affected it, there was some deterioration there… there is an office in the house that is almost a replica of the regular office.”

He also said where he works from does not disturb his job.
