President Trump’s approval rating skyrockets in September according to polls

Following a plummeting popularity since assuming office which has seen Trump sustain an all-time low approval rating by some earlier conducted polls, President Trump’s recent displays have earned him a surprising shift in his approval ratings

According to an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released on Thursday, President Trump’s approval rating has rose surprisingly in September for the first time in seven months.

The survey carried out on US adults between Sept. 14-18 found Trump’s approval jump to 43 percent, up 3 points from August to September. But, the majority of the country, 52 percent, still disapprove of the septuagenarian’s job in office, a drop of 3 points since last month.

Majority supported Trump for his deal with congressional Democrats on legislation to keep the government open through mid-December. Seventy-one percent of those asked were happy for his bipartisan approach, and only 8 percent disapproved. Also, his recent focus on helping Texas and Florida recover from Hurricanes Harvey and Irma contributed to the overall ratings.

Trump also received a boost in his economic policies. 40 percent of the people supported the Republican leader’s economic results.

The survey which was conducted by telephone with 900 U.S. adults had a 3.3 percentage point margin of error.
