"No comment" Kachikwu says after meeting Buhari over NNPC corruption

Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu refused to speak with the media after his meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.

Kachikwu had written to President Buhari, accusing the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) of illegality and of insubordination.

The letter detailed major contracts amounting to about $26 billion awarded by Baru but not reviewed by the board of NNPC.

President had scheduled a meeting with the minister following his letter.

Kachikwu, on Friday, arrived at the State House in the morning, and left a little over an hour later after meeting with the president.

Asked by newsmen to give details on what went on in the meeting, Kachikwu said: “No comment.”
