Journalists banned as President Buhari commission Ikeja Bus Terminal

President Muhammadu Buhari, who currently on a 2-day visit to Lagos State, has commissioned the Ikeja Bus Terminal.

Journalists were reportedly been banned from covering the commissioning.




According to Sahara Reporters, officials claiming to be working under the directive of the presidency barred journalists from making their way into the terminal.

Journalists with official accreditation tags provided earlier were also reportedly barred from entering the premises.

The Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode announced the commissioning on his Instagram page.

He wrote:
The Ikeja Bus Terminal was officially commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari. The Terminal is one of our flagship transport infrastructure under the State Bus Reform Initiative.
 President Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, also attended the 10th edition of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Colloquium themed "Investing in People", held in commemoration of his 66th Birthday.
