Rick Ross reportedly on life support after he was rushed to hospital

Rick Ross reportedly had a health scare at his home in the Miami area early Thursday morning.

According to a Davie Police Department report obtained by PEOPLE, someone at the Miami mansion belonging to Ross, William Roberts, called 911 at 3:34 a.m. for emergency medical support — saying a person matching Ross’ description was “unresponsive,” “breathing heavy” and “slobbing out the mouth.”

When the male patient came to his home, he was “combative” with medical crews, which prompted officers to be called to the scene.

Ross’ former girlfriend and mother of his child, William Roberts III, tells PEOPLE, “Pray for him.”

TMZ is reporting that the patient was transported to the hospital via ambulance and received respiratory treatment. A family member “strongly denied” the report of the hospitalization to the website, however TMZ has since updated to claim Ross is on an extracorporeal membrane oxygenation machine (ECMO) and may have suffered a heart attack.

Ross has had a history of seizures, suffering two within six hours of each other in 2011 (his private jet was required to make an emergency landing each time).

In the wake of the health scares, the musician reevaluated his lifestyle of weighing 350 lbs., sleeping for just three hours a night, and pounding back 24-oz. steaks at 4 a.m. As he told Men’s Health in its September 2016 issue, he changed his diet and incorporated exercise into his days — losing 75 lbs.

“I’m happy,” Ross said. “I’m still losing weight, and now I’m starting to build hard muscle in places.”

However, according to fellow hip-hop artist Fat Trel Fat Trel and others who are known to be close to Rick Ross, the Maybach Music boss is in the hospital but not on life support.\

Fat Trel updated fans on Ross’ health, writing, “JUS TALKED 2 MY BIG HOMIE… HE GOOD… HE IN DA HOSPITAL BUT HE IS NOT ON ‘LIFE SUPPORT’ … HE GOOD.”

Karen Civil, who helped debunk the TMZ reports that Lil Wayne was very close to death back in 2013, also says that Ross was never on life support and is doing ok.

"Just got off the phone with a close source from Rick Ross camp and they reported that he is okay and he was never on life support," Civil tweeted.
