Mohamed Salah named African Men's Player of the Year 2018

Egypt star, Mohamed Salah has been named African Men's Player of the Year 2018 for the for the second successive year.




Salah beat Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Sadio Mane to the crown in the Aiteo Caf awards held Tuesday evening in Dakar, Senegal.
Salah has been in fine form for Liverpool this season – scoring 13 goals in the English Premier League as the Reds top the log. The 26-year-old received 73 percent of the total votes cast.

South African Chrestinah Thembi Kgatlana emerged African Women’s Player of the Year 2018.

She edged out Nigerian duo of Asisat Oshoala and Francisca Ordega to win the crown.

Kgatlana had a tournament to remember as South Africa finished as runners-up to Nigeria at the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations in Ghana and secured a maiden Women's World Cup ticket.

Mauritania is the Men’s Team of the Year, while Nigeria is the Women’s Team of the Year 2018.
