Eight slump at Atiku’s Kano rally

At least, eight persons slumped at the rally of presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, in Kano on Sunday.

Massive crowd flooded the Sani Abacha Stadium, venue of the rally, making it difficult for movement within the facility.


According to eyewitness, eight persons were seen lying on the ground while security operatives made arrangement for them to be taken to the hospital.


Six of those who fainted were males while the remaining were females.



People lined up the streets to welcome Atiku to the ancient town. As soon as he arrived in the city, the presidential candidate headed to the palace of emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi.

Atiku was accompanied by director-general of his campaign, Senate President Bukola Saraki, national chairman of the PDP Uche Secondus, former governor of Kano Rabiu Kwankwaso, mong other PDP leaders.
