Game Of Thrones star Nathalie Emmanuel praises her character Missandei's sex scene with Grey Worm

Nathalie Emmanuel has praised her character Missandei's game-changing sex scene with Grey Worm (Jacob Anderson) in Game Of Thrones..

The actress told Net-A-Porter's digital magazine PorterEdit that the couple's relationship has opened the eyes of fans who are 'learning that there is another way to do things.

Fans were delighted in Season Seven when Missandei and Grey Worm finally consummated their relationship, and Nathalie explained that she loved the themes behind their night of intimacy, as they were a stark contrast to the racy encounters the show was known for.
The star said: 'A lot of the sex on Game of Thrones is lust-filled, a bit like scratching an itch, whereas this was about trust and intimacy and acceptance of the other person fully and wholly.

'There were quite a few feminist articles written about the fact that it was all about Missandei's pleasure, but other people did ask: 'Well, how did they do it?' I'm like, guys, if you don't know another way to do things, then I feel like you should learn. Quickly.'

Nathalie also admitted that she rang her mum before filming her first ever sex scene, saying: 'I'm her baby, and she needs to be prepared for things like that.'
Nathalie also reflected on Missandei's beheading earlier this season which stunned fans, as the star admitted she struggled to cope with the idea that her character was dead.

Missandei's relationship with Grey Worm was brutally cut short, after Cersei Lannister ordered The Mountain to behead her in season 8 fourth episode.

Reflecting on fans' grief that their romance was over, Nathalie added: 'Some of the greatest love stories don't have a happy ending.

'People have commented that as soon as they saw Missandei and Grey Worm making plans, it was, like, ''Well, one of them is definitely going to die now.''
Nathalie went on to add that she's struggled to cope with the idea that her character is dead, but loved that her last word was Dracarys, which means Dragonfire.

The Maze Runner star said: 'I suddenly feel like she's no longer in existence; she's now a character from the past, and that feels different.. The reaction on social media has been overwhelming.

'And that's testament to how much people cared for the character. A lot of the comments have been: ''You deserved better'', but it's Game of Thrones – there's no justice, and it doesn't matter how good you are or how kind or sweet you are, they [the show's machinating, power-crazed characters] will get you if it advances their own interests.'

'In that last scene, you felt her fear but also her strength and her bravery. I love that 'f**k you' [moment] she had, right at the very end. I was really proud of it.'

Game Of Thrones divided fans last week, as many were furious to see a dramatic change in storyline for its heroine Daenerys Targaryen.

It was a game-changing moment for die-hard fans, who were furious with the twist just a week before the show comes to an end with a final 79 minute episode.

But Nathalie has said she thinks fans will be happy with the show's final episode when it airs on Sunday, adding: 'I felt really satisfied and fulfilled by it. People will be really surprised.'
The British star also admitted during much of the filming for Game Of Thrones' final season, she was training to become a yoga teacher in the sunny climes of Morocco.

'I wasn't in a lot of this last season of filming, because I wasn't in the battles – they did 11 weeks of night shoots [for the Battle of Winterfell], and I wasn't upset to miss that,' she said.

'People were losing their minds, working at night in the cold and the rain, and I was in Morocco, like, ''Sorry that's happening. Namaste, guys.''

Nathalie landed her role in the fantasy epic after four years playing Sasha Valentine on Hollyoaks, and the actress confessed she found it hard to shake the soap stigma, and even briefly worked in the clothing shop Hollister to make ends meet.
