Frustrated Manchester United fans stage #GlazersOut protest against club’s owners

Manchester United fans are up in arms over the state of running at the Red Devils, with many taking aim at the clubs’s American owners.

The Glazers have been involved with United since 2003 after Malcolm Glazer bought a stake worth 3.17 per cent which increased to 30 per cent by the end of 2004.

By June 2005, the Glazers had squeezed out the remaining shareholders to take full control of the club but left them in millions of debt.

The American family have reportedly never invested a penny of their own funds in the club, with United paying off the loans.

Ed Woodward, the executive vice-chairman of Manchester United F.C, has been instrumental for the Glazers in orchestrating their debt-loading takeover - which has now taken out over £1.8bn from the Old Trafford outfit.

Fans are furious with the ownership in place and are piling in on them on social media, hijacking United’s official account by posting the hashtag #GlazersOut everywhere.

The Red Devil supporters have successfully got the hashtag trending on multiple times as they looks to garner awareness for their cause.

And the latest Twitter post to be hijacked by the United fans was an announcement, confirming Neil Wood as lead coach of our club’s Under-23s.
