The music event, which would be the singer's’ “first-ever owned concert”, has been scheduled to hold on September 1, 2019, at the Shell Hall, Muson Centre, Lagos Nigeria.
Like a typical bedroom musical event, the organizers revealed that attendees are to expect “a full-blown bedroom musical from sensual, soulful lovelorn ballads to fierce energetic affirmations.”
Johnny Drille lead the pack of stars billed for the concert including Nonso Bassey, Chike and Good girl LA amongst others. The event would be hosted by Nollywood actress and compere, Chigul.
Waje took to her Instagram account to express optimism about the upcoming show. She also said that she looks forward to having “a very intimate, passionate and loving experience” with her fans.
“I have wanted to do this for a long time, to sing my truth to the world, my way. My goal has been to have a very intimate, passionate experience with you! The stars have aligned and it’s finally time! Please join me,” she wrote.
Waje’s 2018 R&B album, released in December, explores the songbird’s eclectic style and embody tracks which span reggae and jazz alongside a concomitant touch of house music.
